What's the Neighborhood Like?
Bocage Lake is a private and quiet, luxury neighborhood located off of Corporate Boulevard. Residents can stroll safely among the side-walked streets and the calming nature surrounding it. The earliest records indicate that the first set of homes were built in the early 2000's. There are a variety of 3, 4, 5 and 6 bedroom homes that are mainly French and New Orleans in style. The square footage of these homes range from 2,000 sq.ft. to over 6,000 sq. ft. Currently, the price range for a home in Bocage Lake is between $400,000 to over $1,000,000. This is a very desirable area of Baton Rouge. This area allows easy access to both I10 and I12. Close enough to LSU to be able to enjoy a jog along LSU's Univeristy Lakes. The best thing about living in this area is that you are within a mile of Towne Center at Cedar Lodge. Towne Center is an beautiful outdoor shopping mall with everything you can image from jewelers, boutiques to grocery stores and gyms. Enjoy a beautiful meal at Flemming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Zea Rotisserie & Grill, and Bonefish Grill, all within Towne Center. For a more laid back atmosphere, I love going to Walk On-On's Bistreaux & Bar (Great spot to watch LSU football!), Five Guys Burgers. My favorite places in the area for a more healthier lunch are Zoes Kitchen, La Madeline and Panera Bread. If you move to this area, the mouth watering options are endless! Whole Foods and Trader Joe's will have everything you need on your grocery list. As previously mentioned, Towne Center has all of the shopping you can imagine. Whether you are looking for sporting equipment at The Backpacker or home decor at Kirkland's and Turkoyz, everything you need is right here at Towne Center. If you love the night-life, you will be excited to know that it only takes 10 minutes to get to Third Street in Downtown Baton Rouge. The golfer or tennis player in your family will be happy to know that The Baton Rouge Country Club and Bocage Racquet Club are both within 2 miles of this area. There are several parks in the area including BREC Webb Park, BREC Independence Community Park and the Botanic Gardens. The kids would have an absolute blast at the nearby BREC Extreme Sports & Skate Park. For small household errands, Walmart Supercenter, Hobby Lobby and the Acadian Village Shopping Center are right around the corner. Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center is within 3 miles of this area.
