UPDATE: Rural Development Mortgage Loan Income Limits have Increased!

The Rural Development mortgage loan, also referred to as RD financing, has officially increased on the household income limits for 1-4 member family from $74,750 to $76,350. Additionally, 5-8 member family has been increased to $100,800. The RD mortgage loan is a wonderful way to get the home you have always wanted without having to put ANY money down! That's right, RD is a mortgage loan option that offers 100% financing with interest rates currently around 4.25%. Fees and interest rate subject to change among different lenders.  Current qualifying areas include most of  West Baton Rouge, Iberville, Livingston, and Ascension Parishes. There are a few areas in the 70817 zip code of East Baton Rouge that qualify for RD, as well.
